Scholarship: Dawson Public Power District - Pathways to Power Scholarship

Description: The $2,000 scholarship aims to support college-bound high school seniors and currently enrolled undergraduates who are pursuing a degree, certificate, or professional trade certification in a field that is essential to the operations and future of the electric utility industry.

The scholarship supports students pursuing careers that power our communities and are vital to an electric utility’s success.

Examples of qualified fields include, but are not limited to:

• Engineering & Technical Trades:

  • Engineering

  • Mechanic

  • HVAC Technology

  • Electrical Technology

  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

  • Energy Services

• Business, Finance & Communications:

  • Accounting

  • Marketing

  • Economic Development

  • Communications

• Information Technology & Security:

  • Computer Programming

  • Telecommunications

  • Cybersecurity
