Scholarship: Wayne State College - Wayne Rural Health Opportunities Program

Description: A collaborative educational initiative between the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and the Nebraska State Colleges. It is designed to address the healthcare needs of rural Nebraska by encouraging and financially supporting rural residents to pursue a career in a number of healthcare fields.

Students must be admitted to WSC to apply for either of these scholarships.

Programs Offered:

• • Dental Hygiene

• • Dentistry

• • Medical Lab Science

• • Medicine

• • Nursing

• • Occupational Therapy

• • Pharmacy

• • Physical Therapy

• • Physician Assistant

• • Radiography

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be from rural Nebraska (Lincoln, Omaha, and select suburbs excluded)

• Students with a rural home address (excluding the communities listed) OR that attend a rural high school.

• Select number of seats per program
