Scholarship: Presidential Scholars Program
Description: The Presidential Scholars program is open to Nebraska students who receive a composite score of 36 on exams taken prior to the Science component being optional, or a composite score of 36 and a STEM score of 36 for exams on which the optional Science test is available. To qualify for the scholarship, students taking the "new" version of the ACT must have taken the Science test. It covers undergraduate tuition, fees, books and supplies, housing and food, personal expenses and transportation, and all other costs of attendance—plus a $5,000 annual stipend.
The scholarship can be applied to any campus of the University of Nebraska System, including the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK), the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL), the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), or the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA).
Eligibility Requirements:
Students receiving the scholarship must maintain a 3.500 cumulative GPA and complete 24 credit hours each academic year. The scholarship is renewable for a maximum of eight consecutive semesters.
Students who receive a perfect 36 ACT (or SAT 1570-1600) will automatically qualify. Self-reported scores will not be considered for program eligibility. Please submit your official ACT or SAT score to the relevant campus.
Application Deadline: For consideration, submit (1) an Application for Admission by February 1st, and (2) ACT/SAT scores through the February test date during senior year.
