Scholarship: Chadron State College - Chadron Rural Health Opportunities Program

Description: A collaborative educational initiative between the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and the Nebraska State Colleges. It is designed to address the healthcare needs of rural Nebraska by encouraging and financially supporting rural residents to pursue a career in a number of healthcare fields.

Students must be admitted to CSC to apply for either of these scholarships.

Programs Offered:

• Dental Hygiene

• Dentistry

• Medical Lab Science

• Nursing

• Occupational Therapy

• Pharmacy

• Physical Therapy

• Physician Assistant

• Public Health

• Radiography

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be from rural Nebraska (Lincoln, Omaha, and select suburbs excluded)

• Be committed to practice in a rural Nebraska area.

• Demonstrate strong academic potential (ACT score expectations vary by program but scores must be at least a 19 or above in all four areas to receive consideration).

• Apply for only one professional field.

• Be enrolled at Peru State College for the entirety of their discipline guidelines.
